We do sometimes have adults available, typically ranging in age from 1-6 years.

Our kittens are sold to approved homes only.  They come with a Sales Contract that includes a spay/neuter agreement (to be done around 6-7 months) and states that our kittens are not to be declawed or allowed outdoors. Our contract also includes a health guarantee, the kittens receive two sets of 3-in-1 vaccines and are vet checked prior to leaving for their new homes.  We also have a Kitten Care Manual that we send home with the babies that we highly recommend reading.  We do not recommend the use of either the Feline Leukemia (FeLV) vaccine or the FIP vaccine.  Neither vaccine is necessary for indoor-only cats and the FIP vaccine has not been proven to be effective.

Our kittens are raised in the nursery (our old guest room) until they’ve had their first vaccine then are introduced into the house with rest of the crew as well as our two dogs. Our babies are handled from the day they are born until the day they leave for their new homes. Socialization is very important to us, we spend a lot of time with our babies as we want our kittens to be outgoing, fearless, playful, sweet, and very people-oriented.

Our kittens can have visitors, by appointment, starting at around 10 weeks and are then ready to leave for their new homes around 14 weeks.  We do not ship our pet kittens.  The cats and kittens live with us as part of our home, we are not a "business" with open hours, therefore we schedule appointments with folks who are seriously looking to learn more about or purchase a Maine Coon.  If you are interested in a kitten, or have any questions for us, please feel free to e-mail us at coonwyck@sbcglobal.net or call us at 219-838-8574.
